how many calories in a bottle of white wine?
Public Comments
- i really don't want to know!
- too many if you are on a diet or watching your weight. but if you drink enough you forget all that.
- Almost 500.
- Drink it all and you will not need to worry....for a while. Depends on Alcoholic strength but I would have thought about 750
- It depends on the wine and its ABV. On a purely alcoholic calorie count, if a 750ml bottle of white wine is 12%ABV, then: 1ml of alcohol = 0.8 gram 1 gram of alcohol = 7 calories Therefore, 750ml bottle of wine at 12%ABV would have 90ml of alcohol, = 90 x 0.8 = 72 grams = 72 x 7 = 504 calories. Of course, there are other sugars present in wine and this depends on the grape variety. So it is safe to say that a 750ml bottle of 12%ABV wine would have more than 504 calories. If you're worried about the calories in a bottle of wine, think about this: there are about 202 calories in a pack of Wotsits. What would you enjoy more, a bottle of wine or 2 packs of Wotsits?
- why waste time thinking about calories just drink it
- In the bottle not many, but in the wine there is a lot
- It depends on the sugar content. It is usually at least one calorie per ml so 750mls will be at least 750 calories. Sweet wine will have more calories that dry. Alcohol content also affects calory count. Laurent Perrier champagne is supposed to be the lowest calorie wine/ champagne money can buy
- All wines have 'personality', 'body', etc... and like us blame the weather for their luck, as wines... So, as you can see, depends!
- depends on the brand and type of wine read the small print, or ask other dieters
- They dont have any!! Thats what I tell myself. Just drink it and enjoy it!! You wont care by the end of the first bottle!
- pretty high
