Whats a nice sauce?

Whats a nice sauce I could make to cover chicken and spinich to serve on fetticini pasta? I have some cream and white wine vinegar, can I make anything out of this and a few regular seasonings kept in my cupboard?

  1. A nice sauce is one you can pet and it will either purr or come to you ! :)
  2. Sure, make some alfredo sauce: 1/2 cup( 1 stick) butter 2 cloves Garlic, minced 2 cups Heavy cream 1/2 tsp. Black pepper Pinch salt 1 cup Grated Parmesan cheese 1/2 tsp. Parsley flakes Preparation 1. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium/low heat. 2. Add the garlic, cream, pepper, parsley and salt and bring to a simmer. Turn the heat down if the mixture reaches a rapid boil, you just want a simmer. 3. Slowly add the cheese and continue to simmer sauce for 8 minutes or until thick. 4. Spoon over favorite pasta...
  3. Do not mix cream and vinegar. Won't work, tastes horrible. To keep it simple, why not heat the cream--whisk in grated parmesan, fresh ground pepper, and a little garlic and maybe basil. Great now you are DONE!! That quick, that easy, and tastes a whole lot better than what you almost made.BAAM !!!
  4. If you have any onions, chop one up and saute it in a little butter. Ad the cream and a little white pepper. If you only have black pepper, wait until you're done to add it, or it will turn your sauce gray. Let it come to a gentle boil and reduce (thicken). Salt to taste. If you have a little wine (not wine vinegar) you can put a couple of tablespoons in. It's simple but very tasty, and you should already have everything you need.
  5. Sauce 2 tablespoons butter 2 tablespoons flour 1 cup chicken stock 1 cup dry white wine To Make Sauce: in medium saucepan melt butter add flour. Stir over medium heat until lightly browned. Remove from heat and stir in stock and wine return to heat and stir until sauce boils. Stir in cream until heated through. (I would recommend adding the wine first, and cooking out the alcohol and then adding the stock/broth.) =o)
