White wine recommendation, not sweet?
I typically like Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and White Bordeaux. Any new brands you could recommend? Also prefer a white wine that can be used in recipes.

- Your best bet is to ask the person at your liquor store.. there are so many brands.. they are best suited to help you
- Gallo Twin Valley Zinfandel
- one that is found in minnesota is called revolution. great for drinking and cooking.
- I have heard that David Ramey wines are some of the best. especially the vineyard designate series.
- Crane Lake is a good brand of wine and also Long Neck.
- Gewurtz is typically a very sweet wine. And while you can get dry Reislings, most Americans think of them as sweet. My favorite not sweet whites are: Duck Pond Pinot Gris Maryhill Reserve Chardonnay Grgich Hills Anniversary Chardonnay Domaine Drouhin "Arthur" Chard Good luck to you! : )
- If you like those, try Albarino from Spain. It is a reasonably-priced wine with a light, fruity flavor. I much prefer it to Pinot Grigio but Chardonnay (when good) is still tops. Dry white Bordeaux can be outstanding, but hard to find and expensive. You did not mention Sauvignon Blanc (also called Fume' Blanc). This can also be excellent (either California or French). Albarino is inexpensive enough to use in cooking, as are some Sauvignon Blancs. However, I prefer to use an inexpensive Chardonnay for cooking because of its more robust flavor.
