Is this an excellent story? (my friend wrote it!)?

cracked me up _______________________________________________________ This is the fairy tale that should have been read to us when we were little! Once upon a time ~~~~~~~~ in a land far away, ~~~~~~~~ a beautiful, independent, ~~~~~~~~ self-assured princess ~~~~~~~~ happened upon a frog as she sat ~~~~~~~~ contemplating ecological issues ~~~~~~~~ on the shores of an unpolluted pond ~~~~~~~~ in a verdant meadow near her castle. ~~~~~~~~ The frog hopped into the princess' lap ~~~~~~~~ and said: " Elegant Lady, ~~~~~~~~ I was once a handsome prince, ~~~~~~~~ until an evil witch cast a spell upon me. ~~~~~~~~ One kiss from you, however, ~~~~~~~~ and I will turn back ~~~~~~~~ into the dapper, young prince that I am ~~~~~~~~ and then, my sweet, we can marry ~~~~~~~~ and set up housekeeping in your castle ~~~~~~~~ with my mother, ~~~~~~~~ where you can prepare my meals, ~~~~~~~~ clean my clothes, bear my children, ~~~~~~~~ and forever feel ~~~~~~~~ grateful and happy doing so. " ~~~~~~~~ That night, ~~~~~~~~ as the princess dined sumptuously ~~~~~~~~ on lightly sauteed frog legs ~~~~~~~~ seasoned in a white wine ~~~~~~~ and onion cream sauce, ~~~~~~~~ she chuckled and thought to herself: ~~~~~~~~ I don't freakin think so. DEFINITELY MY KIND OF FAIRY TALE correction - my friend wrote my an email containing this and some other of her own stories . i just assumed she had written it. maybe i was wrong. lol :)

  17. omg i just read this on the door of one of the phd students in the psyc department at uni (i'm doing honours psyc this year). i think it's great cos it highlights the oppression women face in a story like this with all the kinds of expectation the frog wants. it is from the feminist perspective. i think the original fairytale is somewhat different though, and does not put so much emphasis on female servitude. i think there is a fairly equal emphasis on the great benefits the woman will receive by becoming the wife of a prince. this is what the feminists so conveniently forget so much of the time, us men are not out to exploit them, we are out to serve them, and well we could make up a similarly pissed-off sounding twist to a fairytale if we put our minds to it! and i will, because i am a masculist, who listens to glenn sacks: www.hisside.com so, what i say is, go read all those dumb fairytales of valiant knights who rescue 'helpless women' from the burning towers/towers where they're trapped etc etc etf.u.ckingcetera. i've had enough of all those dumb fairytales specialising in the sacrifice of men for the safety of women! think of how many men have died in the hopes that one useless princess will live. f.u.cking feminazis. can't take the originality? well why could you take the originality in the first, feminist, twist to the original fairytale? you feminist.
  18. no way your friend wrote that... i just got it in an email...
