WINE TASTING For VALENTINES DAY?

What do u think about this idea? Unfortunately i cannot book my vine tasting idea ON valentines day, but i CAN book it for the 15th. I am planning to surprise my boyfriend that morning. The plan is to have a nice dinner (no alcohol involved) ON Valentines day and sleep over his place that night. Then on the 15th i wake him up and tell him to get ready and he wont know where we are going until we get to theactually winerie. Do you think this is a good idea? Any tips or stories/suggestions ont this? Yes he likes wine, but both have never been to wine tasting b4 hehe :)

1. yeah i think its a great idea! ive been to one, its fun my other half loved it and is always buying wine now! Remember white wine first as the red is such a strong flavour that you cant taste the white when you come to it (I did that, was v dissapointed!)

3. oh i love that idea! wish my fiance would do that for us... granted we don't celebrate vday bcse it's so commerical- but any other day would be fine!! i went to a wine tasting in fla with my mom. we had a blast. ended up picking up a few bottles of what we sampled. it's nice to go back months later to drink a bottle and relive the fun of the tasting- especially being all giggly by the end.
4. Sounds like a great time but why not do it on V day? Arrange your own wine tasting just buy say 3 bottles to try together, should be a riot of a night. I would recommend sparkling (champagne) that you can sample with your meal. Have the whole lot. That way you can have a great night, sleep in the next day and just spend the 15th recovering. This is an Aussie tradition, called getting pissed.
