  1. red its better
  2. Hmm, I like both for different reasons.
  3. Well I love all wine, but it depends upon your palate and your tastes...have you ever had chicken with white wine and cream sauce, e.g. If so trying a white wine would be nice (something like Echo Falls or citrus lemon type wine), red wine is something I love to have with a home cooked steak as the flavours are still in my mouth and I can really enjoy the wine more after dinner. If really stuck...Rose wine(Galleo etc.) is a nice light wine that you might consider starting off with. I had a glass of Combero red wine earlier...simply delicious
  4. white
  5. White....red is a little harsh to drink often. try a zinfandel...yum!
  6. The sweeter the wine, the more calories it has. Dessert wines have many more caloies than red or white wine. If you want white, I like pinot grigio, red a mix of shiraz and merlot is tasty. Try them out and you'll find one you like!
  7. I drink both. White is usually easier to palate for beginning wine drinkers, so you may want to go with that. I've been into Sauvignon Blanc lately, so if you like a citrusy wine, that's a great way to go. But, a nice Chilean Merlot is also a good entry level wine. Cost Plus has a ton of them. GL in your search!
  8. Red. White has little nutritive value, unike red. But wine is also a bit high in calories; as all alchohol is.
  9. I don't believe there is signigcant caloric difference between the 2 of them...unless you modify the amount you drink. Beer is 150 calories for 12 oz and wine is about 80 calories for 3.5 oz of white and 75 calories for red. I don't many people that drink just one glass of wine or one bottle of beer. But if you're going to go with the wine... go red. Good for your heart as well.
  10. Go to a wine shop or a winery and sample what they have. You'll be able to form a better opinion on wines. Red or white makes little difference. It's all a matter of personal preferences. I happen to like both kinds. Sweet or dry, I enjoy a wide range of both. I also encourage you to attend a wine festival or wine tasting event. There will be several wineries gathered together to sell their wares. You can then compare from A to Z, which one is best for each type of wine. Have fun with your new hobby. Wines are a joy to share with the world.
  11. ehhh.... how about a glass of grape juice any thing with alcohol is bad for you .. so grape juice is the same as wine minus the alcohol .... God bless.... why r you trying to lose weight? .. if that's it then just drink water no coke have milk once in a while but water is all i drink some times milk ...
  12. yeahh thats a good idea !!! the wine is pretty good specially the whit i drink wine almost everyday and is awsome get u a good buss and is just excelent but carefull cuz when u drink it to fast and abuse it ur going to get fuck up !!!!
  13. My favorite wine hands down is a nice dry Riesling, but reds can be good.. try a Merlot. Spend at least $10.
  14. Red....Merlot, Cabernet, pinot noir...
  15. You just need to try a few and see what you like. I like dry reds with lots of tannins. That is certainly an acquired taste. Really the level of sweetness is often going to have more to do with rather you like it or not. Start with a semisweet and go from there.
  16. When drinking beer, it is easy to have more than one but with an excellent wine you can stop at one and savor it. I would suggest red but if you are new to wine start with a white and don't buy anything more than $10. Australian wines are great for beginners. All alcohol is high in empty calories though.
  17. All wines have about 100 calories or more so it depends on how many calories is in the wine.
