Is there any dry white wine eg Sav Blanc from the States that tastes similar to Aussie or NewZealand wines?

- I don't know. I've never tried wines from Australia or New Zealand. I'd like to, though.
- We have plenty of Sauv Blancs here in the states. If you prefer drier wines there are fume blancs, which are essentially a dry sauv blanc. Also there is a Portuguese wine called Vinho Verde. It is similar to a sauv blanc, but slightly sparkling. A great Summer wine. Hope this helps.
- My favorite NZ ones are Oyster Bay, Isabel Estate so when I drink american Sauv Blanc, I gravitate towards Silverado Vineyards or Honig both from the Napa Valley. Grgich Hills makes a nice Fume Blanc as well. Or also try Luna Vineyards Pinot Grigio from Napa. though not a sauv blanc, I think the flavor is quite nice.
