Summary: 1 pint (500ml) water, 1/2 pint (250ml) sweet white wine, juice from 1 orange, 2 lemons Into a pan put the sugar, wine and water and heat through very gently until the sugar has fully dissolved. Then bring the mixture to the boil and cook for 4 or 5 minutes.
