Can red wine cause strange hangovers? I have noticed over the past few months that when I drink one or two glasses of red wine in the evening, the following day I feel sort of weak and dizzy, almost faint. In fact, I did faint one day following a night of consuming 3 glasses of red wine this summer. It seems there is a correlation between my drinking red wine and feeling strange the next day, but not the common "wine" headache or anything. I just started to drink red wine this summer, so I can't say I have ever had a reaction in the past from drinking it. Has anyone heard of this before? Is this a wine allergy? I don't know why I've been hanging on to this last batch, but I need to let it go before it goes bad. I'm really not a fan of red wine, but the couple bottles I've opened still seem fine. I have about 20 bottles left and would like to give them away. I'm afraid it will be embarrassing to give away bad wine. Also, I don't want to give it away with a disclaimer like "well, this wine has been hanging around my house for 3 years...so sorry if it is bad." It sounds like I'm trying to unload some old junk of mine and that's not the way it is at all. I don't have the palate for red wine, but everyone who tried it said it's great. I remember my Dad saying that it was very sweet and should be consumed fresh and not aged. I really have no idea how long he thought it was OK to keep around. Any ideas for how long it'll last and what to say when I give it?

What are the different types of red and white wine that I can use for each of these different courses? I have a wine project to do and I don't really know much about wine or drink them: I have to do five courses: appetizer, soup, salad, entree` and dessert. I have recently started enjoying red wine :) I went to a restaurant the other day (a very nice one) with my GF and ordered a relatively expensive red. £30 The taste could only be descried as terrible, I couldn't drink it, it was so strong (acidic) tasting but tasted of nothing at the same time. Red wine on my jeans!!? I was trying to open a bottle of red wine and some splashed on my jeans. I followed some ideas of a little detergent and some hydrogen peroxide to treat the stains. I then hand washed the item and rinsed it (because I don't have enough on my laundry card to do a load in the washroom downstairs grr). Does anyone know if this will work and if it doesn't, any tips on getting the stains out after it dries (air dry naturally)???
